The Liftmaster model 374LM remote features Enhanced Radio Technology (ERT) for better range and performance. This product comes with a 5 year 3 volt battery as well as a directional clip that affixes to your car visor. This remote operates up to four garage doors or gates. On some models of openers, it is able to activate/deactivate your garage door opener lights. This remote can also be programmed to allow each button to open, stop, and lower the garage door or gate.

A Guide To Compatablility Finding the correct compatible remote can be confusing. The manufacturer of the Liftmaster 374LM (Chamberlain) also manufacters the same compatible remote under different brand names such as Sears Craftsman. Above is the list of remotes that are compatible with the Liftmaster 374LM. If you have a Sears Craftsman remote, you will find your model number on the logic board (circuit board) on the back of your garage door motor. The model number will follow "139.".

  1. Press the purple “learn” button on the motor unit. The indicator light will turn on for 30 seconds.
  2. Within 30 seconds, press and hold the button on the hand-held remote that you wish to operate your garage door.
  3. Let go of the button when the motor light blinks. This means thet the remote now works with your garage door motor. If light bulbs are not installed, two clicks will be heard.

To Erase All Codes From Motor Memory

To deactivate any unwanted remote, first erase all codes: Press and hold the “learn” button on motor unit until the learn indicator light goes out (approximately 6 seconds). All previous codes are now erased. Reprogram each remote that you wish to use.
